Is apocha open source or is there a self-hosting package?

I have tons of ideas that rely on users being on the same platform, and that's something self-hosted just can't handle. Plus, hosting apocha goes way beyond Tomcat or Node, and I'm not up for writing technical documentation or providing support for it. So, sadly, self-hosting or open-sourcing apocha isn't in the cards anytime soon.
